So one reason I wanted a truck is there are many dirt roads near where I live and while they are generally smooth enough for a Prius to drive sometimes they get crewed up.

this was the case with this road recent rains left this road washed out pretty bad lots of loose rocks some ruts.

this section of road I certainly would not want to do in a car the rocks were softball size or bigger.

Obviously the OEM tires were not the best but I was very surprised how well they kept traction.

my plan is to replace the OEM tires with some decent all-terrain tires in the future.

I was descending this section in slippery drive mode and low range didn’t need to break very much never started sliding at all.

I have owned Jeep Wranglers and actually done off-roading and I know that this is not really off-roading but it’s certainly a road that I would not be comfortable driving in a car.

Perfect!

Needed to confirmed that I can drive into the woods to get to trailheads for some mtb or canoeing.

I probably would have taken my old 74 Maverick on that road. At speed!
