Hello! This probs has been covered before but I was hoping for some insight or just in world experience. Has anyone really towed with a car dolly from Uhaul with a hybrid? I bought a 48 Ford F1 and thought maybe it would be capable of towing it with a car dolly but I was kinda worried so I figured I'd come ask here!

That'd be close to even hitting the EcoBoost 4k tow limit. 3,000+ lbs + 750 lb tow dolly. And the hybrid is only rated for 2,000 lbs.

It will totally depend on speed and grades.

If you can stay away from grades of more than 1 or 2% it will do it without too much struggle. Can you keep it off the interstate and keep it 55 mph or under? 45-50 mph should not be a strain for it it all.

Remember: horsepower is work divided time. So with the lower horsepower hybrid it will do the work, if you give it more time (by driving slower).

The Maverick Hybrid has horsepower to spare as far as pulling a load. Not the issue.

Drivetrain limitations are the issue. The Hybrid transmission package is not designed to handle heavy loading. Overheating, component failure are what can happen. Overheating may not show damage at first, but show up later.

That said, there are several examples of Hybrid Mavericks towing a LOT more than the recommended 2000 lbs. Don't know of any failures yet. But you can also rent a larger pickup at a car rental place too.........

One big concern is stopping. No brakes on dolly nor Ford so a panic stop could be a problem.
