Thats going to leave a mark - undercarriages on our beloved Mavericks are really susceptible to extreme damage while the truck may still look great. Learned that by experience ;)

Cheers

And he was driving backwards toward a sheer drop-off why? Obiwan says Luke should park and get out to do a visual check before backing any farther when close to the abyss. Silly not to, it is.
If you look at the picture his backup camera is blocked. Looks like he is carrying a chair. I can't fathom what or why it happened. Only thing I can attest is that I'm not perfect and have done some stupid $hit, I certainly can't condemn others of mistakes. I'm just glad nobody got hurt and the Maverick pulled out of a tough spot. Makes for a great story whether true or not like one post suggested.

Great point. And another good reason to get out and do a visual if you can't use your rear-facing camera. At my age, I don't trust my depth perception the way I did when I was a young grasshopper.

I understand but we don't know how difficult it is for that person to get out and look (carrying a chair). Or the person did not want to put the other person out. Or he wanted no help because he wants to have some independence when so much may have been taken away. Whatever reason I'm sure he won't do that again. Well at least I hope not.

I do understand what you are describing, concerning depth perspective. Just certain health issues make dressing a challenge, let alone getting up and down and walking. Many cannot and others very limited.
