Ford rates Escape Hybrid and PHEV Escape at 1,500 lbs. Were Ford to offer AWD Hybrid Maverick I'd expect tow rating no higher than 2,000 lbs and possibly 1,500.

Ford had 2X demand vs. capacity to build Maverick Hybrid so I see no reason for Ford to offer AWD Hybrid Maverick and stoke more demand.

Buy an Ecoboost, it's the right powertrain for your use, you will be happy with it.
I can see it happening, HEV with FX4 and maybe 3.5k towing. I hope 2024 model will offer it, 😁.

It is likely your going to see a all wheeler Hybrid next year BUT its not going to tow 4k. My 2.0 FX4 with 4k tow package gets 23/24 mpg local, yesterday did 100 miles on highway over 30mpg at 70mph most of the way, I have gotten as much as 38mpg highway with cruse set at 69mph at about 2k rpm, you don't need a Hybrid.
That sounds great but it would be helpful with a hybrid, it would probably add 5-10 mpg. If it helps my bank account, yes need a hybrid.
