yes, with a modern sub you really do not want to underpower it. use at least the rated power for best results, and depending on the sub you generally can run more than rated power without issue, as long as you don't do anything stupid. :ROFLMAO:

my Alpine R2 8" with dual 2 ohm coils is rated at 350, seeing 500w from a Kicker Key 500.1 for over a year and a half, works great. :cool:

Nice. Yea I don’t ever crank it up all the way and if anything I’ll turn it down a little so I don’t damage it. The sub is rated at 400 watt rms and is set on the gain to get 600watts rms
I’m impressed with it so far 😃
