Hi All, I was hoping someone might have some insight as to how to move the buyback process forward. My stealership that sold me the truck is not cooperating with corporate Ford so I am having a hard time getting approved. I live in GA so I have the option of the AG, but that seems unneccesary since I should easily qualify.

They have tried to fix the same issue 5 times and on number six, along with having the truck for more than 30 days.

I've done 3 successful buybacks (not of a Mav) you NEED to get a lawyer. Every single time I went without one they just dicked me around and made excuses. They are hoping you just give up and go away until your rights expire. So unless you actually file a lawsuit against them, they will not take you seriously. Trust me, they will string you along until it's too late on purpose.

Mercedes was so bad that my lawyer not only got me my money back, they also reimbursed me for all interest, extended warranties, oil changes and $10k extra, it was pretty awesome.

The lawyers are FREE for you, so there is no reason not to contact one imo. In my state, there is a firm literally called "The lemon law lawyers" who I use. Everything is done online, the whole process takes about 6 months,

Heck of a first post on MTC! Where have you been while all this was going on? Maybe share what problem(s) you've been having?

Lol. Sorry. I like my Mav but this has been a cluster so far. It is the seat belt adjuster. It was busted when I purchased it and I did not notice. Took it back the same day. It has now been in and out of the dealership going on the sixth time.

They cannot get the plastic piece tight enough to consistently engage the slider. No clue why it is such a mess or so hard. I just want to wash my hands of it at this point.

How are the lawyers free? Just curious.

Because when you qualify for a lemon, they have to pay the lawyer fees as well. If you don’t qualify, you don’t pay either. I’m telling you you need to contact a lawyer yesterday. Unless you’re well-versed iin legslese , it’s the only way to go through with this.

Just google Georgia lemon law attorneys and go from there. No one can really help you here you need a lawyer. I can’t stress this enough. You need a lawyer to be successful. I’ve been through this process many times.

What a mess. I sent the certified letters last week. If Ford does not do the right thing by the end of next week I will get an attornet.

It is crazy it has come down to this, but so be it. Thanks for all the advice!

I’ll tell you right now those certified letters aren’t gonna do Jack. There’s only two things they respond to a lawyer or an actual lawsuit being filed that is it.

I had a car that literally couldn’t even start for six months after stranding me three different times on the side of the road with only 300 miles on it even at the dealership they couldn’t figure it out and they still tried to say I didn’t qualify fso I don’t think a plastic piece is gonna matter at all to them

Nope. At this point with the lack of help from corporate Ford I think I just want to be done. It is amazing to me how little control corporate has fo their dealerships. It is almost a sad joke. This will likely be my first and last Ford for a whopping 291 miles.

Nevermind, I see it’s a seatbelt adjuster.

seems like a simple fix and also something not worth selling a vehicle after 291 miles.

I gather you probably just aren’t happy with the Maverick and you want to get rid of it without taking a financial loss.

I hope it works out for since you don’t appear open to other alternatives.

Corporate Ford can't get in touch with anyone at their own dealership to get service history. They have zero power from the way it sounds.

I hope you get some sort of satisfaction but none of what you are saying adds up. The service history is online no person in the dealer service department has to be called. And with any seatbelt failure the whole seatbelt assembly is replaced, not repaired.

Seatbelt adjuster failure. It is the silly plastic they cant fix, but I cant move it up and down correctly. They left the SO as one giant open one instead of individual repairs. Two repairrs are missing since they just took the cover off and didn't repalce anything.
