I’ve been enjoying my 2023 Maverick Hybrid for a week and I’m loving it even more than I thought I would. One thing that has stood out is how damn cold the A/C gets in this thing. This is in Florida. The vents are powerful. Even on low, it sometime gets too cold with temperature set at 76. Granted it’s not summer yet, and I will be using it a lot. I’ve never owned a vehicle that had an A/C this cold. Anyone else agree?

DUDE...YES! My previous vehicle had a broken A/C for almost 3 years or more. So, I haven't a decent cold air throughout several summers includes 100 degrees ones. Until I got my Maverick recently and we had a few random hot days...I had a hard-on from just the cold air. It indeed blows pretty cold for such a low fan or set at 73-ish.

I'm reserving judgement until mid-August when it is 110 deg. F with a 70 deg dewpoint and it's been sitting in an unshaded parking lot for eight hours.

It's a Ford thing. They do A/C better than anyone else.
Yes, my EcoSport AC worked great through last years Arizona Summer's 110/120 degree temps. We have to drive off with an oven mitt for the steering wheel and be carful not to touch the metal part of the seat belt buckle but within less than a mile the AC is cooling everything down - at the expense of about 10% reduction in gas milage!

I actually felt the opposite. My 2018 Rav4 that I got rid of for the Maverick had much colder AC even five years later. The Maverick gets there eventually but I feel like it takes a long time to cool down. I also hate the AC vents. They are in terrible locations and I don't like that to open and close is the same way as to adjust the direction. I either have it blowing directly in my face or it's off-angle and the vent in half-closed. The AC and rhe backseat are my main gripes with the truck.

The whole A/C and even just vent blows more air on the lowest fan speed, than my Jeep does on speed 3. I'm not complaining.

when I drove the wife's 2020 Escape with dual zone temp control she would turn her side up and turn on the seat heater lol.
Yeah, my wife does both, plus she brings her "driving with Jim" quilt. She's over there huddled under the blanket with her seat heater on, and I'm over on my side with the AC turned up to "barely tolerable" level to avoid freezing her out!

But when she's not in the car, the AC is simply amazing. We had a standard-cab Chevy years ago, with the same AC system Chevy uses in the crew cab trucks, and it would get freezing cold within a minute or so after cranking it up on 105Āŗ F summer days. The Maverick AC seems to be in the same league!

Yes I too noticed that at the low speed for the fan that sometimes it is too cold blowing on me so I then just press the button to direct air at my feet along with at my head which cuts air speed in half which is more comfortable.
