Ther are a LOT that have jumped on the EV bandwagon. Some have made promises to sell only EVs at some point in the not-too-distant future. There are problems with the proposed scenario, including battery supply, rare-earth material needed for batteries, generating and distribution for charge current, and lack of a network of charging stations and the attendant long-time to recharge EVs for cross-country trips. Beyond that, it is all subsidy and coercion.
Personally, I am not so sure things will be all that rosy what with the lack of Unicorn waste and Skittles to power the 'green' vehicles. May you live in interesting times, no less.
