Mabett Side Marker wire

Any ideas on the best thing to do with the thin red wire connecting the two sides together? I have routed it best I can but I still think there's a better solution. My26xlt eco.

I installed a wire insulator on mine and routed it between the fan shroud and the radiator. I had to take the air box off to do this. The installation is clean and looks factory.

wire insulator? is that like a heat shrink tubing?
Assuming it was probably just large enough to fit/ slide over the connector?

The insulator is just a flexible plastic tube with a slit through it that you cut to fit, and slip over the wire. You can buy these at any auto parts store. I'll try to snap a pic under my hood before I head to work in a few hours.
