Lost Wave On Display

'25 XLT Hybrid - Yesterday I connected my wife's telephone the screen so she could talk while driving, this worked OK. This morning, I selected my telephone to connect, no problem.

However, on the map display with the options on the side of the screen for several items, Waze disappeared. I have tried settings, both on the Mav's screen & my android telephone. I cannot seem to get Waze back on, though the map now shows Google, no option for Waze.

Any suggestions on restoring Waze? Thanks

My Waze disappears if I choose not to connect my phone when entering the vehicle but always loads when I connect I haven’t loaded the app into the vehicle’s HMI so it doesn’t show on the screen

Thanks, Dave. My telephone is connected, but Waze simply does not show up with the other items to the side of the map. Will see if anyone else has ideas.

Are you connected just via BlueTooth or Android Auto? Waze will only show up in the latter (assuming that works like CarPlay).

Android is what I push when the screen shows that option, so I assume this is the way it is connected.

Check the Waze app on your phone too and see if it logged you out. I've had some issues with this before too and it turned out Waze had just logged me out on its own.

This is what happens! I have 2 Fords and the exact way it works in both. Connect wireless, then plug it in.

Thanks all, I have tried all I know to do, no luck. When the Mav was new in November, I do not recall adding Waze, it just appeared at the right of the screen. Why it is not there, so cannot use Waze in my Mav, quite disappointing. Could it be Google blocking Waze so forced to use Google?

Doubtful since Google owns Waze.

Good to know, thanks. I had no idea of Google owning Waze, but then again tomorrow another tech firm may own them..... Still would like to restore Waze to my Mav!

Go to the settings on your phone. Hit the magnifying glass and search for AndroidAuto. Scroll down and select AndroidAuto settings. Under the display settings, hit Customize Launcher. This will bring up all the apps that you have that your phone is launching when AndroidAuto starts. It also shows a "Hidden" section with apps that are available to be used by AndroidAuto.

My guess Waze is in the hidden section. If it is, it will be shown. Hit the checkbox next to it to get it moved to the display section.

WAZE SOLVED!!
Just playing, I noticed the box of dots at the bottom left of the screen. See attachment.

Pressed this, a list of applications came up, including WAZE. Pressed WAZE, then it showed up on the screen like before I connected my wife's telephone, see 2nd attachment
