Finally got my build date (1/22/24) for my XLT Hybrid with Lux, splashguards and 360. Have already decided to add hood struts and tailgate damper. I plan to add a tonneau cover and interior floor mats and would like some recommendations. Also, any suggestions for studded snow tires. I am in northern Maine so...

Same thing you'd put on a front wheel drive car or SUV.

I really like my Lomax Stance hard trifold. It works well for my needs and was a breeze to install

Thanks for YOUR idea!! Hood Struts!!! My birthday is today, so I just ordered a set on Amazon and they'll be delivered tomorrow. My only "pain" with my Maverick has been the cheapie hood prop rod. I am seldom under the hood, mainly to add washer fluid, and have always been "nervous" about the prop rod and the hole it fits into. The hood is heavy enough to kill me, if it wanted to. I would never have thought of struts until I read your post. Thanks again. Oh, I almost forgot your post, there are tons of little options you can get for your truck. You will definitely want the letter set for your rear gate. I am tickled with one of the cheapest things I have added: color-matching knob covers for the dashboard knobs. They set off the all-blackness of the interior. I also added a CD player. Good luck: accessories are FUN.

I've been Extremely Pleased with my Undercover Ultraflex hard tri-fold tonneau bed cover. Not sure which type your interested in, there's plenty to choose from on the market. As far a all weather floor mats there are also numerous ones to choose from, Husky, WeatherTech etc.

I saw the strut idea on this forum almost a year ago. Glad I mentioned it in my post. Happy holidays!

A lot of Maverick owners who added the hood struts were having problems with opening their hoods afterwards.

Yes it can be an issue as the struts want to lift the hood and it pulls against the safety latch. So you have to be quick on the hood release but it is a learned/learnable behavior.

I recommend getting your tonneau from RealTruck. Tell them you’re a MTC member and they will give you a discount. I got the Truxedo ProX 15 and am very happy with it. I prefer the soft roll up covers so I can roll it up and still have full access to the bed when hauling long and tall items without covering up my rear window.

Agreed. Also, there is no protective coating on the end of the hood prop or the hole it goes into. After a few years that hole will be scarred up and prone to rust. Another reason to install hood struts.

Tonneau rollup bed cover EBAY 294701 cost is $140 many sellers bought mine from (makeworldgreatagain) I paid $169 back then seems cheaper now. Mine has worked great no leaks, good quality. I have had mine 10 months no problems, really like the rollup ability so when needing to put items in back just rollup doesn't obstruct rear view.

Message Realtruck here first. The CSR gave me 10% off for membership, but Santana got me a better deal. Free shipping and it arrived quickly.
