Looking for a dealer for service recommendations., specifically the recalls. I'm tired and too busy to deal with this:
Booked an appointment with my regular dealer (Jack Madden Ford in Norwood, MA) and it was 3 weeks before they could get me in for an oil change and the fire recall. When I asked about the airbag recall, I was told they needed to order parts after I came in and it was something I couldn't wait for. I would need to drop it off and return.
I asked about a loaner- no dice. Not thrilled, but not uncommon so whatever.
When I got in to get the oil and fire recall done, I was asked if I was dropping it off and told them no. It was at that point I was told because of the fire recall, it would be a 7 hour wait? Seems a bit excessive for the 1/2 hour of work the job is quoted for.
Anyhow, is there a dealer with slightly better customer service in the service department? I'm not expecting the world, but it would be nice to have a clear expectation for what to expect and it would be cool to not waste a trip for an oil change.

Yep welcome to our new world order.
Getting parts is mostly a nightmare.
had to get some warranty work done on wife expedition, it stayed at dealer just shy of 3 months
