Longest Wait Time From Confirmed Order to Delivery

Ordered July 29, 2021 from Long McArthur. XLT Hybrid. Cactus Grey. No movement since 07/29. Added a moonroof this week. Cause, why not? My first time buying a brand new vehicle. Might as well get what I want.

Not a word from Ford since the order was placed.

I stopped by the local ford dealership just to kick tires a few months ago. They were happy to place another order for me. No obligation. "We can sell it quite easily." Most vehicles at this place are selling over MSRP. ... ok.

Ordered XLT with FX4 Package on Oct 5th from one of the largest fleet dealerships in the Country and haven't heard anything since confirmation email awhile back. I was told 4 months but already approaching that date and haven't recieved production build date yet.

Sending an email costs Ford nothing, and at least makes the customers frustration feel acknowledged (even if it's corporate bs.) There's a supply chain shortage on emails? Not according to my Spam folder

Apparently that's too much for Ford. Its a pandemic remember? Mass email takes tons of union labor.

What do you want them to say? There are transportation, labor and supply shortages? Seems pretty common sense to me, I mean if you watch the news or even glance at a newspaper or the shelves in your grocery store it's right in your face. What would an email change for you? Just curious

" We want to thank you for your order confirmed dated ( insert date ). We have your order and working to get your order fulfilled as soon as possible. Thank you for your commitment to Ford Motor Company."

I don't know, for those who just got an order confirmation 6 months ago, a confirmation that their order is still in process is obviously too much in these..... unprecedented times.....

Just curious, why are you defending Ford customer service? Do you not think they can improve?

IMO- the system ford employed to pick builds is flawed. Originally ordered in July; dealer messed up. We reordered (the first didnt take) beginning of September, zero info, and no uplifting news about order (called ford company). Ordered a XLT lux I really feel bad for the FIRST EDITION people

Ordered a Hybrid Lux on July 1st. Scheduled to build 2-14-2022
Probably will come in mid March +/- 2 weeks. Will be about 8 1/2 months. With todays news I will be 95% likely to flip it.

Yeah, even EcoBoost orders are slowing down. Sad

June 30th for me in Ohio…awaiting the built email and hoping to have delivery by mid-February but who knows!

6/18 here. Supposed to be at dealer 1/23. Didn’t happen! I am in Northwest.

I ordered my hybrid XL in June and.as most of us were told to expect the truck before end of year. Finding out that Ford didn't have EPA approval yet for the car and that in reality it would take nearly (or possibly) a year to receive the truck we should all demand that the destination charges on our june-july orders be deleted from our cost. I don't have a car I had to sell my honda element because it would have it's catalytic converter stolen if I parked it outside I'm now forced to buy an old car in the interim.

Hi. Have you checked the Ford website for your order? You should see it if the dealer placed the order with your correct email address. I'd be concerned if they actually placed the order if it's not reflected here. My account doesn't show any orders since I bought one what someone backed out on.

June 30 conf from FORD.
XLT hybrid. First build week sched 12/13, then pushed to 1/3. Tracker says in production as of 1/11. Window sticker latest rev 1/22. Est’d del’y (FLA) 2/16 (!)

The delay is an issue I can live with.
What I find sincerely annoying is close to zero communication from the dealer or FORD.
Making customers stand by for months without regular updates is customer service pits.

I ordered my XLT hybrid in June as well and have not received ANY confirmation emails from Ford about going into production let alone delivery. Getting very frustrated.
