Locking financing ahead of time

Do any of you know how far ahead of time we can lock our loans in place?

My truck's on order and I'd like to lock in the current rates ahead of when my truck may get delivered.

I ordered 9/8 and locked in 1.9% a week later because it was about to expire. After locking it in I got a vin number and a build date. My Hybrid is now on it's way as of yesterday. Talk to you salesman. That's what I did.

I was told when I ordered mine, whatever finance rates were available that day, they were locked in. I’m in NC if it matters

I locked in at 0% in writing when I placed my order. If they try to screw with that I’ll pay cash or go to my CU.
