there are 2 levels of lobo. one is based on lariat which has adaptive cruise, heated vinyl seats and steering wheel, b&o sound, led drls, 360 camera, protrailer etc.I haven’t had a chance to really read over it but what exactly does the LoBo have that justifies the price? Didn’t sound like there was hardly any performance upgrades. Maybe I’m wrong though
I believe they will drop in the 2.3L engine in a year or two, so I wouldn't pull the trigger on this. Even if I am incorrect, there's not enough here to justify the price.there are 2 levels of lobo. one is based on lariat which has adaptive cruise, heated vinyl seats and steering wheel, b&o sound, led drls, 360 camera, protrailer etc.
to this it adds the torque vectoring rear differential from the Tremor, with a track / autocross drive mode, lobo. paddle shifters, larger front brakes. painted bumper trim plastics, unique fascia with fog lights, 2 unique wheel options. unique suspension lowered about an inch.
this is actually a lot of stuff to add for about 3k, but yes, more horsepower would have been useful.
the low trim lobo is based on the xlt so all the lariat convenience features are removed and it has cloth seats. all the appearance and performance features remain. this trim I think will sell very well for 35k. but then again I also expected the Tremor to sell much better than it has, and there was 2 years of relatively affordable XLT Tremor.
it's not getting cheaper. if or when they bump to 300 horsepower, add on another few thousand.I believe they will drop in the 2.3L engine in a year or two, so I wouldn't pull the trigger on this. Even if I am incorrect, there's not enough here to justify the price.
I don't disagree. However, I just feel it isn't worth that much. The Maverick does not have a $40K interior, not even close. It's barely a $30K interior, and I am OK with it at that price. For $40K, I expect higher quality plastics, and soft touch on the dash. Look at the Santa Cruz interior. Heck, I can get a Ridgeline for $45K which is way ahead of what we currently have. Al I am saying is that, Ford could give us much more content for the $45K and then it might be justified.it's not getting cheaper. if or when they bump to 300 horsepower, add on another few thousand.
the hp it has now isn't a major concern if you are the type of person who installs tuning devices. if you stay stock, yes, 238hp is not inspiring.
the low trim looks attractive. painting the bumpers alone is more than a grand, paddle shifters, torque vectoring rdu.
sounds like you really care about the interior. I got over it long ago. it is cheap, but guess what, my 48k Bronco has a lot of plastic too that's only slightly better looking and also scratches easily.I don't disagree. Like the Mustang and Cobra?Maverick - A calf that hasn't been branded.
Lobo - Wolf.
I'm not sure I would have gone with the inter-species mingling naming convention.
