Even before I got my Mav I noticed that a lot of newer vehicles have a headlight out, running light out or one tail light out. Today I passed 2 Mavs, looked in the rear view mirror, and both of them had a tail light out. That’s why I do the walk around every couple days and check mine. In the past I have never had ‘lights out’ like that on older vehicles, (knocking on wood) ! Cheaper parts now I guess.

Good warning, feels like about 15 years since I last replaced a bulb... used to be it was a practically yearly thing that one bulb or another went out and needed replacing. So I got out of the habit of checking very often.

I'm pretty sure it's not a bulb issue:

My 2023 does this occasionally. I have yet to have the fix action performed.
Nice, thanks. But I guess my point is that this never happened in, oh, I don’t know, older vehicles that I can remember but then again, maybe I just never noticed this stuff 10-15-20 years ago 🤔

I back up to my garage door and look for the glow from both brake lights as well as looking at the reflection of my headlights in the glass where I work every few days. High beam/low beam. No burnt out bulbs so far in my Maverick.

Just to add a little insurance from being rear ended, I changed the 3rd (high) brake light out for an LED that flashes 3 times every time I hit the brake pedal. So far, no one has slammed into the back of me.

My 2011 Ram burns at least 2 bulbs out every year but at least the message center in the dash tells me when it’s out.
