License Plate Position.

I have a Thule swing away 4 bike bike rack for 2" receiver.
When I put it on I didn't notice that the beam covers the license plate completely.

I did not want to get pulled over for the plate being covered.

1/8 inch drill bit.

With the Thule on the truck.

The door for the trailer lights opens just fine.

Did you also move the license plate light?

2021 Minnesota Statutes -- 169.50 REAR LAMPS.

Subd. 2.License plates. Either such rear lamp or separate lamp shall be so constructed and placed as to illuminate with a white light the rear registration plate and render it legible from a distance of 50 feet to the rear. Any rear lamp or rear lamps, together with any separate lamp for illuminating the rear registration plate, shall be so wired as to be lighted whenever the headlamps or auxiliary driving lamps are lighted.

same here, flip the receiver bar, swap a couple bolts and that’s probably it…

Should be able to move the lamp.

Can anyone speak to how difficult it is/isn't to move the light? Is it something I can ask dealer to do as part of prep, since I'm not getting a hitch, to center the license plate?
