Where / how are front license plate brackets mounted?

I'm pretty sure each dealer will install them based on local guidelines. Most will just jam them right in the middle and drill into the bumper.

This is pretty much what most folks should expect

Once I get a build date I might reach out to my dealer and ask my options, but i can't really think of a better location

I’ve seen a picture on the internet from Minnesota mounted front left

I already told my dealer when my Mav arrives do not let them install that front license plate. He said to be honest recently FORD has not been sending them except to states that require a front license plate. Good LA doesn't require it.

That is my thread, check my post history for it! Of course it will only work if you have the fx4 tow hooks... I'm not sure the particular mount I bought will even work, but I think my truck just arrived so I will probably be posting an update when I pick up, possibly next weekend!

Looks like bracket with dealer name is too tall for front and will partially restrict the air flow to lower portion of radiator though most likely not enough to matter. As I understand it the lower part of the radiator in the hybrid is used for the drive battery and I suspect for the 4k tow package in the EB. Maybe that's why hybrid isn't rated 2500-3000 lb tow?

I installed the front license bracket supplied from Ford myself by drilling only the two bottom holes in the black top portion on the lower grill area and am using small velcro squares to hold the top portion of the bracket.

I have attached a copy of the installation instructions.

In the procedure I did step #1 then put the small velcro squares on the back of the bracket over the top two mounting holes then did step #2. I did not do step #3 and in step #4 only did the rivets on the lower two mounting holes.
