yes. They are stick on with double sided tape.Like.. you stuck them on the outside?

they are along the top edge of the headlight between the headlight and the hood. I dont have any daylight pics yet as i completed it last night and haven't had time yet today

Attached the led light strips to the headlights running between the hood 0and along the top of the headlight
I did that to my current car and it looked great at night like yours but not noticeable during the day. I wanted them to be DRL’s but failed lol.

Yikes. That's cool! Personally, I think that presence of good car interior lighting at night time is of the same importance as the presence of air conditioning in the summer heat. So I installed smart strip lights under the seats. Keep in mind - measure is a treasure. The headlight illumination looks great. Just don`t get carried away with wrapping the entire space of the car with LEDs, otherwise the lights will become an object of annoyance. I plugged strip lights into the cigarette lighter. Although you can do without it, by connecting the power to the controller from the standard lighting, if it`s much more convenient for you.

Forgive my ignorance on this...
I really like having the upper portion of the headlights like the Lariat. So did you just splice into that? I ordered and XLT and it drives me nuts that the upper portion is basically not used. Basically, can you walk me through this? Are the lights already there, just not used?
Explain it to me like I'm 6 please.
