No, they won't, we live in a society of instant gratification, the 70;s were the ME generation, we live in the RIGHT NOW generation.
I've seen this "instant gratification," "ME generation" complaint over and over again.

I demand that it stop RIGHT NOW. :devilish:

The state attorney general on Tuesday announced he has sued two related car dealerships, accusing them of deceptive pricing practices.

Attorney General Peter F. Neronha said that Grieco Honda, of Johnston, refused to sell vehicles at the advertised prices, instead adding a $5,000 "addendum fee" to the price.
The passionate arguments currently extending this thread aren't my cup of tea.

BUT... one lawsuit referred to by @WenzelR really is about MSRP. You can find a link to it here.

The Honda complaint has an image of an internet ad offering a car for a certain price, which is labeled "MSRP." But the dealer actually charges $5,000 above that. There is more detail, but the attorney general claims that ad violates the Rhode Island Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

Laws vary by state, but it will be interesting to see how this resolves. It may turn on the exact wording of the ad, which has the phrase "Detailed Pricing" just above the MSRP price.

Dude, can we all chill out a little?

Yeah, markups suck. Is our capitalistic society set up to take advantage of of people? Yes.

Either pay the markup, or don't.

So much back and forth bitching between fellow Maverick enthusiasts. I hate to see this...

Hey all, I've been monitoring this thread since the beginning and want to let you in on my experience as someone who is getting their Maverick from Koons Falls Church Ford.

I initially found out about the Maverick back in October, and instantly knew it was the vehicle for me. Not only that, but my dumb ass thought I could waltz in and order a first edition RR hybrid, in October remember... I called around and ended up talking with the new sales manager (at the time) at Koons Ford. They told me a guy backed out of his early August FE RR Hybrid order, and I could take it over. They were the only ones in NOVA who were able to make my exact order a reality, so I moved forward working with them.

I'm not going to lie, the process has not been seamless. There were some miscommunication and at times felt like I was being left in the dark. That said, whenever I raised those concerns, the representatives I worked with listened and if they were unable to resolve the issues, I was able to talk with the GM. The GM at Koons, in my personal experience, has been the best part of Koons. He listened to my issues and was extremely flexible in working with someone who took over a cancelled order, something they absolutely did not have to do. I'm receiving a cancelled order for a price and incentinves an original order would pay. While I know the dealership has its flaws, as most do, they've gone above and beyond in making my experience worthwhile and have earned a loyal customer in me.

*I haven't told them I'm writing this, I just felt I'd provide a positive perspective on the dealership. You can look at my post history, I've been honest about the process and have been updating my profile since taking over the order in October.*

Caviler Ford, 100% happened. Call them and ask about it. They did it to everyone who ordered Broncos and Mach-Es as well.
Just wasted time in my life that I'll never get back reading google reviews for them sorted by lowest rated to highest. Of all the 1 star reviews I read I saw exactly one complaining about price and it was someone crying about them charging an ADM on top of MSRP incorrectly accusing them of gouging (when are people going to learn what that word means?) on an in stock vehicle. I'm sure if they were doing what you claim there would be a ton of irate people leaving terrible google reviews.

That being said, apparently their service department is a hot mess. I never let anyone else work on my vehicles.

Have you actually taken delivery of the Maverick yet?

If not, let us know how it goes with the salesman, sales manager and finance guy. They may have some unpleasant surprises for you.

Nope, currently being shipped here, estimated early April delivery but not holding my breath. You're absolutely right, which is why I asked the GM to type up and send over an updated signed price sheet out the door. No surprises when I show up to take delivery. Only room for negotiation will be with the finance team, which I'm happy to work with but if they don't offer me better than my PenFed quote, I'll finance through my bank.

A joke to lighten things up a little (maybe).
Two guys sitting in a bar. One wants to talk to the only chick there but doesn't know what to say. His buddy says go over and tell her your favorite pickup line. He goes over to her and says "Hi, Ford, F series".

If I remember, Koons Ford posted here on the forum. He was blasted for some crazy dealer processing fee.
Truth in advertising, almost every dealer in this state charges the same insane processing fee because of lack of regulation from the state.

Wanted to follow up with you since you asked. I went in yesterday and sold my soul for my Maverick. Koons honored my x-plan pricing (which, as a customer taking over a previously cancelled first edition order they did not have to do). They were able to match the lowest financing quote I received in my area (NOVA), and they didn't press me to get their warrenty (I ended up doing so simply because I don't trust any first year models and better safe than sorry...) and they gave me about 40% off their 6-year 60,000 (I only drive about 7000 a year so that was more than enough). I'm aware they still made money off the warranty deal, but honestly I'm glad they did because they worked with me and didn't make much off the actual vehicle itself.

The truck hasn't arrived yet, but I know as soon as it does I get to take the keys and drive off, the "rough" part is done.

Again, I'm not saying they are perfect, but in my personal experience with them, they've gone above and beyond and I couldn't be happier. I'll be posting pictures on the Virginia Mavericks Forum once it arrives.

So far, so good apparently. Sounds like you did OK.

Wonder how this will actually pan out. I contacted an attorney after my order price is wasn’t honored, they couldn’t do crap.
If your attorney declines to at least write a threatening demand on official letterhead you need to either pay your attorney more or get a new attorney.
