Here’s pics I’m gonna send some more soon. First pic is the settings back to “stock” and second is where it meets to the harness in the front.

I have to max everything out to get any noise-low noise. Shouldn’t I be able to just do the gain match setup and it work it Dosent even wanna do that. Do I have to mess with any of the the other settings before I gain match?

What is everything?

What is your low pass set when you are playing music? What is the gain set at? What is the bass boost set at? Do you have your bass knob plugged in and turned all the way up? Where is your ground? Where is your battery power connected to?

I have to put low pass almost all the way up to get noise. Then I have to max gain out as well. I have put the bass knob in and it Dosent do anything so I took it out but when I did have it in I put it all the way up for the gain match as the instructions say. I also need to have bass boost almost all the way up. I don’t think it should have to put everything up.

btw this is the harness I bought if that helps

so, now looking at pic #2 again, I believe you have spliced your power wire for the 500.1 into the harness. it cannot provide the necessary power to do that, in fact I'm rather surprised you haven't been blowing fuses trying.

look at the manual for the 500.1, it definitely shows a dedicated power wire straight to the battery and a minimum fuse or circuit breaker size.

use a distribution block and run the power wire into that, then unwind or cut the kicker power wire leads and go into the distribution block. (the 500.1 power wire is considerably larger gauge than the 200.4. I have installed both amps, I know.)

actually just go get a power kit from wherever, such as this one: https://www.amazon.com/Recoil-Gauge-Amplifiers-Wiring-Installation/dp/B096HB74YM
(edit: the supplied 120A fuse is probably oversized. I would use 80A with these two amps, 60A could possibly work as well. when you have a fuse or breaker way oversized you can melt something before it pops, which obviously is a bad thing.)

I like that kit has 2 distribution blocks. wire your grounds into the second one, and then make a new ground somewhere near the amps by using a piece of steel wool or sandpaper to remove paint from a thick segment of the chassis/body like in the rear floor. you scuff about a dime-sized patch to bare metal, then use a ring terminal with a self-tapping sheet metal screw. if you pick a solid piece of metal you might need to pre-drill a tiny starter hole, but bear in mind the small thread on the sheet metal screw.

if none of the above makes sense find a capable friend or take it to a carfi shop.

I have it powered to the battery with 8 ga wire from a kicker kit. Maybe the ground I put it to is messed up but I had checked it with a meter and it was fine maybe I will do the sheet metal screw tho. Check my new post for the pictures.

that's a pretty big factory ground. I'm not sure what it is, but people have used it (I didn't). the symptom of that ground being looped or noisy would be distortion, not low output. so I think your ground is fine.

so the 500.1 has a battery direct power cable and the 200.4 is getting power from the T harness, correct?

what about your 200.4? unplug the 500.1 completely for now and how does your 200.4 perform?

What is the rating on your subwoofer? At 2 ohms the kicker key 500.1 is 300 rms. I can't tell but it looks like you have high level selected for input so that should be right. Did you attempt any tuning with the key button? Do you have 14 volts while it's playing music?

Can we see your subwoofer setup?

Is that a kicker bass knob wire? Looks huge.

200.4 is also getting power from the battery just smaller gauge wire and fuse the 200.4 output is fine works really good dont even have to mess with gain or it gets to loud.

ok. so the 200.4 was able to complete the auto-tuning dsp setup and played the happy chimes?

if so, yes, you literally do not touch anything after that. if you change the crossover setting (it should be as low as it goes - I believe 80hz from memory) you have to redo the auto-tune.

if all that is good, leave the 200.4 alone and we can focus on the 500.1.

So the sub is rated for 200rms and a max of 400rms. Yes so that’s my biggest concern when I go through the process with the tuneing it will never flash for the gain match I can turn the gain all the way up and nothing it’s really odd. I will take a picture of the sub now.

I did the 200.4 auto tune before I had the 500.1 installed could that be the problem. And how would you change the crossover setting? Only thing I messed with on the 200.4 is gain
