Kicker Key 500.1 Not working

Was wondering if anyone had any trouble when using the kicker key 500.1 to power there sub. I installed it and I have to put the gain all the way up to the max just to hear anything out of the sub. I made sure I’m set up with flat eq and head unit is set flat. I also checked my ground and my power that’s good as well. I try to do the gain match mode on the kicker key and it won’t even “clip” I can go to make gain and no light. Any information on this is greatly appreciated I’m stumped!!

What signal source and what subwoofer are you using?

It’s a base system and I’m using the plug and play kits that connects to the 200.4 4 channel amp. So I guess my source is the head unit.

I’m using a plug and play kit’s harness so I assume it’s the head unit. And I got a Epique E180HE-44 7” dvc 4ohm that I ran in parallel to get 2 ohms. I also tried the system with a different sub still low.

Show us your wiring and amp settings. Is your input level pushed in or out? Do you have the bass knob connected?

What is the RMS of your subwoofer? Are you sure its at 2 ohms and not 8?

Yes I’m sure it’s 2 ohms i checked it with my meter.

I tried both input levels and the gain match still Dosent work. I had it connected but took it out to see if it would make a difference.

We still haven't seen your install and wiring and what are all the setting on your amp set to. Pictures really do wonders. It's hard to guess without seeing.

yep, my next guess is inadequate power wiring.

We still haven't seen your install and wiring and what are all the setting on your amp set to. Pictures really do wonders. It's hard to guess without seeing.
