You could just save some cash and tap into the existing connector similar to what you did when you installed your raptor lights.
I haven't done the raptor lights myself but I'll probably go a custom harness that can let me plug into the the light harness without taps too.

Just watch the video that was posted. Pretty simple and the best option is to use power from the map lights.

On checking other threads I didn't see an answer to the question of when pulling from maplights instead of turning off with the car, if it stayed on. Or even if it loses the garage programming when it loses power. I may just be massively misunderstanding how the mirrors work though.
It doesn't stay on (unless you connect the mirror to an always hot wire) and it maintains the memory when it is off.
Thanks, but it wasn't my video. I just posted the link. You could post a favorable comment on the YouTube site of the video.

To start off with my apologies of my inability to use this form ! But this is what I know
The three wires from the truck you will use out of the five from the lights are black, yellow and purple
The black from the truck goes to the black ground on the mirror
The yellow from the truck goes to the black in the middle of the three wires from the mirror
The purple from the truck goes to the black with white stripes from the mirror
You may have to buy a T tab connection to hook up the ground from the mirror. Also remember to use the t tabs as far away from the connection to the light as possible so you have room to plug it back in to the lights You will need some trim tools and if you have a sunroof definitely makes it easier. Take your time. Watch all the videos on this form . Remember if I can do it, you can do it
The mirror comes with T tabs that work with the existing plugs on the mirror. All you have to do is use the. T tabs to connect to the wires. Then plug in the mirror.

Sorry, posted the wrong one. They have a bunch of ones on clearance and grabbed the wrong one
Mirror
Note that on The "Bob's Mirrors" web site that the $39.99 price does NOT include a wire harness, that's $13 extra for the short one. MORE importantly to note, the mirrors are "B Grade" with blemishes like small chips or scuffs in the glass or housing...

I installed mine several months ago. After reading about how some installations did not go well and about cutting wires to install, I decided to extend the existing wires and just run them to the fuse panel in the passenger footwell. Just 2 wires to hook up, power to a fuse that has power only when the ignition is on, and the ground to the nut that holds the fuse panel to the firewall. The wires were run down the passenger side windshield pillar and hid behind the plastic.

This allows me to disconnect the mirror easily for service or if I want to remove it.

It works great and I am happy.
As I too am hesitant to mess with all that wiring up there that is an option. Did you find a tuturial that helped you figure it out?

I was trained in electronics and have installed other items in the past. So I had to find a fuse that was on only with the ignition and also the ground. It has bee a while since I installed it but I used the harness that came with the mirror, extended the wires , and hooked the positive to the fuse using a fuse tap and hooked the ground wire to the nut holding the fuse panel to the floor. My mirror does not operate when the ignition is off.

After hearing of some problems with other installs, I was not going to tie into the overhead console wiring. I don't want an issue with my truck that Ford says is my fault. If I sell the truck, I can just disconnect the fuse wires and put the old stock mirror back in without any problems.

I'm hesitant also. Have the Lariat with ACC and don't want to mess with the camera by the mirror. Others have said it's easy to do, so????? I'm right down the road in Greer.
