I have the Stone Age key fob with the switchblade style key on it.
I've never had my key fob activate while it's in my pocket. I have accidentally pushed the alarm button when I wanted to unlock the truck.
I have a 2023 XLT with the wired keypad. When I go hiking or atv riding. I drop the key fob and wallet under the rear seat and lock the truck using the keypad. That way I don't lose the key fob or get it wet.
I put the fob inside the the truck, close the door locked it. No alarm or sound.

Reply my 23 xlt with folding key doesn't seem to trigger accidently like my 25 keyless does in pockets...........but you'd think the point of keyless is could just leave in pocket........it accidently easy going off defeats that

I think those switchblade Fobs are the reason all the doors lock automatically as soon as you leave and close the door! 🤣😉

Just had a day, but so far seems to stop accidentally setting off in pockets.

I think that the red cover offers better protection. Great choice!
(What the hell is he talking about? Blue works just as well!)

The Lariat fob is needlessly large, which I have found caused the alarm to go off far too often. I wound up disabling the alarm with Forscan.

Same issue with my remote start keyless entry at least twice a week. I’ve had it in my front pocket and leaned against a kitchen or bathroom counter and set off the alarm and just today had just hung it up in a cabinet and walked away 2 steps and alarm goes off. PIA for me and probably the neighbors.
My other two cars ( non Ford ) have panic buttons as well without any issue. I think the biggest culprit is house keys bumping the button. Way too sensitive.

I have mentioned this before, however, I have kept my fob in a faraday pouch and have never had an issue. House keys are the outside and only the fob inside. Some would say it’s big and clunky and it is however, it is padded and comfortably fits in my coat pocket. It’s also very effective. If I don’t take it out of the pouch when I’m in my Mav, I get an error message that no key is detected. I bought as an antitheft device and as a bonus has protected the fob from setting off any alarms. No signals can in or out! FYI.

No problem with the FOB. I do not use it. It is inside my Mav and I always use the keypad.

I can't say for the other models, but my Lariat will refuse to lock if the fob is inside the vehicle. Also, leaving the fob in the vehicle only works in a world where there are no car thieves, so its probably only an option at the North Pole.
It will lock with the exterior number pad. :)
