How does it fasten under rear seat?
Iāll need to let my 2 adult daughters know that only a man can do the āsimple thingsā and tighten 4 screws.I'm sorry, this gal doesn't have a man card. I'm able to get someone else to do the simple things!
The price of the install is the price of the install regardless of how you pay for it. If you have a stick on part and you pay someone to do it I think that's on you but you have to realize that most dealers have a minimum of 1 hour and there's a lot more than just sticking it on. I understand that some of these are unreasonably high costs from the outside point of view but if it's really that simple then again as stated previously do it yourself or find an outside shop. One of the benefits of having a dealership do it is they do it right they stand behind it or they should. They do have minimum hourly rates and I believe for most shops a minimum is 1 hour. For something like that I would have it done at time of service or I would just negotiate it or even just ask if there's a technician you could pay cash to do it because you think it's a 5-minute job. I guess my main point here is the dealerships are not stealing or being bad they do have a cost of doing business and having a minimum labor cost per transaction is a standard way of doing business for many different industries.Curious if when you use ford points for installation you can avoid any bogus dealer labor charges (like people getting charged an hour of labor to stick on the keypad)
So..... is this thing just screwing into plastic?$60 for installation is INSANE!!! Unless you are a paraplegic you can do it yourself!!!
