Just got my email for the second time

I placed a 24 barebones XLT order when the banks opened as I was told that was going to give me the best shot of production. 3 months later, I told myself "If I'm going to wait, I might as well wait for what I want."

So I successfully changed it to a Lariat with options and now I'm wondering if that put me back to the end of the line (so be it) or if my order was actually modified. Patiently waiting the next few days to see if I get another 45 day email or if my clock reset with the new order.

Yep makes zero sense how ford is building these. In the past orders I’ve done it was first order first shipped. Ordered my rs right when banks opened and it was in the first boat over from .
I’m just more upset they say is supply issues when I have watched several higher models get build and delivered with more on them. Those parts could have filled my bare xl.

The last time someone posted about getting the 45 day letter and others piled on the thread was also a "Scheduling Thursday" and the a lot of those who were complaining got scheduled that day.

Today is supposed to be a massive scheduling day with two months being scheduled.

2024 Maverick Scheduling This Week (11/30/23) for Production Weeks 1/1/24 - 2/26/24

Why post now and bitch about Ford and then have to eat crow later in the day when you get scheduled

Got mine. I realize upgrades above xl would speed it up but honestly I don't think it would be worth the money. It's a decent inexpensive vehicle but anything in the high twenties or more I would get a low mileage Ranger or Canyon.

You are very correct. I'm not a bells and whistle kind of guy and my Hybrid XL does and has everything I need. I do have a Lariat BAP Ordered and if I don't get chosen I may just drop it down to the XLT BAP and choose what I need for power/heated mirrors. And sunroof. This will also buy me time to hopefully see a Terrain color in person with BAP. That will be it. My XL is going to my Daughter.

There's no "line" or queue, when you ordered is irrelevant. All orders are placed into a pool of orders and trucks are scheduled according or the allocation the dealership has and the parts and trims Ford has available to build.

Feel free to modify your order as much as you want before you get the scheduling email.

Got mine to. What pisses me off is it says supply chain. Screw that it’s and xl and yet I see xlt and higher end ones being built with all the same parts and features.
Why did I waste time making sure my order went in first morning the opened. Wtf is with ford?

Ordered my 2023 on the second day they took orders in September of 2022. Never received ant email and constant checking in with dealer does nothing either. I ordered the XL, eco-boost AWD and tow package. Other than keyless entry and full size spare tire, there were no other upgrades. Just don't understand why they are taking 12-18 months to deliver!

Why send out emails then saying it’s not scheduled and you will be updated in 45 days.
It’s lazy same as why ford says orders will be taken and build in order received. Pending supply issues. It’s not either of those. I don’t need my truck I have a truck but don’t just give lips service.

Pick my lariat up this Saturday. That will be day #752. In all that time I received maybe half a dozen 45 day notices. I just kept the faith

I just received, this morning (11-30) my 3rd Ford Update stating my `24 Lariat with a Sunroof Is Scheduled to be built on January 22, 2024 !! I placed my order on July 17th, 2023....Carbonized gray Metallic...guess I will see if it happens...

I placed 2 orders, one on August 1 at a local dealer and one on November 13 at the largest dealer in Texas. I just got confirmation that the November order has been scheduled to be built during the Week of Feb 12, 2024.

The spec is:

2024 Lariat, which includes Luxury, Co-Pilot, and Co-Pilot Assist
Azure Gray
Hybrid
Black Appearance Package
Floor Mats, Rubber type

Go figure
