Let's start out by saying that "indecision is a terrible thing..." and leave it at that.
I placed an order for a 2024 Maverick XLT-AWD as an upgrade to the 2022 XL-EB-FWD I already have. Canceled the order for the '24 and placed an order for a 2024 Ford Ranger XL instead. (Don't need AWD/4x4 so long as truck has the increased towing capacity.)
Curious to know how many of you out there have previously owned Tacomas and what your experience has been with them, etc. and why you opted to go with Ford instead.
The only time I ever drove a Tacoma was bringing my friend into the ER, and I found her 2.7L 4-banger to be agonizingly slow. As a 5'6" person, the seating was horrible, couldn't see over the hood, couldn't get comfortable, and felt like I was riding a gaited horse since my legs were splayed to far out in front of myself. Not sure if the V6 drives any differently, but I'm wondering if I should go look at a 2023 Tacoma?
There's no right or wrong answers here. Just looking for input.
Thanks!
