Not hearing any stories remotely like this about any other brand. What's amazing is that this level of incompetence doesn't crash the whole business, just empowers dealers to gouge deeper.
Currently $3000 more from FWD & ICE to AWD & hybrid isn't bad.
Justifiable as one upgrade or the other, and I can walk into a dealer and have a car in a month if not a day, for MSRP. The dealers selling to each other at fantasy prices broke me of wanting one, if I have to deal with these kind...
I found a xlt in used inventory with 13k miles on it at the same dealer that said I couldn’t touch the new one.
And I just drove it. its fine. Optioned mostly how I’d like it, in that battleship gray color. A few rattles, some signs that the prior owner was a slob and they didn’t detail it...
It's not even nearly the last piece to this customer though. I'd be really really hacked off if I showed up in person, to drive a ordinary car, and was refused.
This is how it works. And always has.
Thanks for the info on the sticker color, I was seeing that but didn't know it meant anything.
Can't see the sticker at this dealer's website, but they confirmed by text that it is there, and not a customer's car, but still no touching.
Contacted three local dealers (Pasadena-Los Angeles), each showing several in stock, one has supposedly been there a week at least that I've been checking, but they all said firmly No.
What gives?
Sorry to be irritating in my first post but... really?
