FYI:

CSX
1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say CN (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt.
4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is)
5. When prompted for next car say DONE.
6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report.
One very important thing to note and this was on the original thread
“Never talk to live personnel at the railroad! Only use automated phone system. If it attempts to transfer you to a live person please hang up. The railcar information we are provided by is given as a courtesy and if we call live personnel we may lose the access and ability to track”

I went through the tracking process earlier today and it indicated the railcar was empty.
I recall another poster having the same issue. At any rate, it appears to have not missed the train.

My rail car is TTGX922024 and currently been at same spot outside Kansas City for nearly 24 hours. Fun to track for sure. Heading to KY
I haven’t been able to understand what’s even being said when I call. Tried again a bit ago and I can only make out something like…

‘Been released to the customer at 2:28pm’ and then some other voice cuts in and says ‘?something? INDUSTRIALS’ and then finishes with ‘there is no ETA’

When I called I couldn't make much out either except something about December 3rd, Birmingham, AL, 5AM? I figure it needs to be logged in at a stop or something to to get updated in the system.

oh dang thats no good - sounds like a wrong rail car number. Mine is still showing in Fairfax, Kansas since 10:30pm on Feb 22, no updates since. Typically how far out to they switch from rail to truck? 2 hours out, 4? 8? anyone know?

It depends where the closest auto distribution center is. They are usually located inside a rail yard. If you are in the east you cant find the centers in this link:

And if you are located in the west it would be any of the yellow or green dots in the map

I asked Granger this morning for a rail car # and tracking. This is a June 14th order. I'll do the automated call later this morning to see if there has been any movememver that past 3 days.

Yes, it should continue traveling east on the rails, but it does have to go into some kind of interchange because it's changing from a Union Pacific train to a CSX train, and that could take a couple of days (I saw a video about this once in a Mach-e forum, but can't really find it right now. )

I got the same message on a call. From the dealer's records, it appears that at the time I called the rail car had already arrived in Phoenix (its final destination) and the trucks had been unloaded.

Maybe that's what it means. I don't really know.

Hmm, entering the car # I get a no status when calling. If my car # is TTGX158373 - The car initials would be GX, is that correct?
