Out of sheer impatience (personality flaw on my part), I went to the "Track My Order" website to check on the build of my '25 Maverick Lariat build (Hybrid AWD, scheduled to be built the week of 01 September). I know that often times one server is updated slightly before another, so I didn't want to wait for an email.

It showed that my truck is In Production! Very excited because it was ordered back in early June, and I've been driving my back-up vehicle (a Jeep) since. I've watched every video on YouTube. Read most of the posts here. Read the Service Manual. Bought and received the aftermarket accessories that are interesting to me. All that's missing is the Maverick.

But it's happening!

Sorry for the pointless post, but I'm ecstatic...

I saw that, but no, I haven't ordered it yet. My garage is really a car-port and is un-powered. I'm not sure, yet, how to power the tender. I'd rather not run an extension cord... Texas weather often comes with its own electricity.

Did you order that battery tender? Based on posts on here you will need it.
Did you buy an extended warranty for when your transmission fails? Based on the posts on here you will need it....

What a jerk post when OP is super excited about receiving their truck.

And OP - I have 8k miles on my 2025 and haven't used my battery tender once.

Certainly! Dessert Sand in color. I will definitely post!
Expect it to look kinda like mine!

Congratulations, and I hope you will be as happy as we are with our desert sand, Lariat, hybrid w/4k tow pkg. (To confirm, we love ours and it has been problem free). 😀

I have a battery tender (actually we have 2, as I need one for our class b camper when we aren't in it), and put it on our truck when we are travelling in the camper for a couple weeks or more.

Not yet, but will definitely go with Granger when it's time.

I'm easy going and prefer to think he (or she, I don't know) had my best interests in mind.

With my driving habits, a typical month is roughly 1,000 miles, on average. I understand (from here), the first oil change is 500-1,000 miles and to use only 0W-20 Motorcraft oil. Oh, and from this morning, full synthetic!

What's your impression of Yamalube fuel additive/protection/cleaner. I'm told by local friends that it has a positive preventive effect for cleaning fuel lines? Anything there?

Use good quality fuel, such as stations that indicate they carry top tier fuel, and has cleaners already part of the additive package.

These are usually the large fuel stations such as Shell, etc....usually they have their own refineries or agreements with other major refiners in that particular service area. The big ones cover each other's backs by providing top tier fuel to each other.

They all can't have refineries everywhere.

Discount fuel is just that...discount fuel, and if at all possible, don't use them. Just my 2 cents of course, from my experiences with sub-par fuel.

Have a good one,

Andy

I ALWAYS use the best fuel available and fill at half-tank. In my area, that's often 0-Ethanol. It's more expensive, the cars have tended to run well on it.

The half-tank thing... I refer to it as my "Zombie Apocalypse Reserve." You've seen the movies, I'm sure. Some survivor finds some vehicle some where and uses it to escape whatever impossible position they've found themselves in. I certainly don't want to be responsible for their death!

Hello and welcome to MTC. Congrats on the great news. Definitely not pointless many have been right where you are and can remember how excited we were. Wish you the best with your new truck. Keep us updated and after taking delivery post some pictures.

I wish when I ordered it was only a 3 month wait... I had almost a year to join and follow the forum, read the manual etc.

As for the extension cord you can do what I used to do - the cord started in the house and ended under the hood with the hood closed so the main parts of the cord and the charger were secured and kept out of the weather.

Correct me if I am wrong but the MY25 is not as prone to 12V battery issues is it?

It's a great feeling! I can't tell you how good it felt when I saw the same thing for my new Bronco. The wait gets even tougher though once you get close to the end!

My Impression as well! I guess we'll see...
