Not entirely sure how to describe this issue. I have my 1st oil change appointment scheduled for October & Ford is going to also look at the grabby aka very abrupt brakes at low speeds.

This is something new I need advice on describing to the service advisor. Out of the approximately 160 mornings since I got in my Maverick and rolled out, only a few mornings now (3), I got into my Maverick... I believe (I don't remember 100%) I put it in drive but still had my foot on the brake & the Maverick is going nudge nudge nudge nudge nudge forward. I cannot tell if it's engine, brakes or transmission. If you do anything after like drive, go back to park and then drive again, or shut the vehicle off and back on stops it. All thee of these mornings have not been extremely cold. They have been cooler, wetter, rainy mornings around 18C or 15C.

Do you have Auto Hold on? Does it stop if you depress the brake pedal further?
Foot, sorry typo. I never use auto hold. I think no, it did not stop pressing the brake pedal further. I will have to try pay sharper attention to it next time.

I have noticed that mine takes a bit more effort to come to a stop and keep it stopped if the gasoline engine is running. No noticeable issue when the electric is operating.

As far as the 2.5 goes, mine seems to operate in one of two phases. The first is relatively quiet and smooth and the second is loud, like an older 4 cyl. Chrysler on high idle. This phase is where I notice extra effort to come to smooth stop. "Nudging" might be a way to describe it, like a carburated car on high idle maybe? I have no idea if this is considered normal or not.

I have had the grabby brake issue. Seems to really want to put the binders on for the last foot or so of a stop again when the 2.5 is running. Having driven a Camry hybrid I can say that the Toyota's brakes are way more aggressive and grabby then my Maverick.

The auto-hold button is on the console behind the emergency brake. The button closest to the passenger seat. There is a green icon that will illuminate in the speedometer cluster when it is on.
My Maverick makes grunts, groans and chatters of different orgins daily. I don’t know what is good or bad. Somedays they brakes chatter, if it’s raining they’re grab.
I don’t know what will give out sooner the truck or my stomach from worrying about the truck failing.

That's a drag man. Not to have confidence in your truck.

Both of my hybrid mavericks have done the same thing on occasion. I had a '22 and now have a '23. It is a little concering, but it happens rarely enough so that I haven't contacted the dealer. I'd be interested to see what they find, however.

Yeah. I know what the auto hold button is & does & where it is. I just never have a use for it. All my driving is country roads. No stop & go traffic where I live.

All those noises just sound like the hybrid battery conditioning
