It’s ridiculous for Ford to wait this long to correct a 12V battery parasitic drain that is so obviously a design issue and then be so reluctant to remedy the situation by preemptively replacing the 12V batteries. Come on Ford why is President Trump protecting you with tariffs?
Replacing the battery is only a bandage for a bleeding artery. Just had our's replaced by our local dealership, at no cost whatsoever to us, that hopefully keeps us okay until the recall is announced by the end of this month. Then, hopefully, Ford will show what modifications to the charging circuit will need to be done to properly recharge the 12 volt battery so the deep sleep problem stops occuring.

FYI-
I have been monitoring 12 volt battery voltages over the past 36 days that vehicle has been driven.
On a day that the vehicle has been driven, I note the voltage before starting and then an hour after vehicle is turned off.

RESULTS: Avg. low voltage- 12.29v = 70% SOC; Avg. high- 12.51v = 88% SOC
NOTE- SOC IS NOT FROM OBD COLLECTED DATA.
I have a BT voltage monitor installed across battery terminals. Very very low proported current draw (1ma)
At what point does a battery start to sulfate?! I have had maybe 3 deep sleeps since May of 2024……..
Any thoughts……. Bill P

I did open the door to pop the hood to take the measurement. But open, pop hood, close door. As said, voltage was 11.69. All measurements and charging at the battery jump points. Charged overnite. Battery measured 12.56VDC. Cabin light still not coming on. Does it have to learn something first.

You should have checked voltage a 1/2 hour after opening… The 12.56v, was that at the charger hook up points, vehicle still asleep? 12.56v = around 92-93 % SOC.

Not sure on the learn but may need to ready truck to drive and turn off 2-3 times.
I will pop hood, attach maintainer, leave hood open while charging over night. Check the cabin light switch to be sure it's not in the off position??? It's been awhile since I charged with a no cabin light on, but I do not remember having to cycle the truck.

2024 Lariat Hybrid. Experiencing some new issues. Interior cabin light does not come on when I enter the vehicle while it is not running. If I exit while running or after turning off, it will work. After shutting down vehicle, headlights and cabin light would stay on for about 30 seconds, but now its only about 4 seconds. Winter here in New England and I haven't been driving the Maverick as much, preferring my 4x4. Maverick could sit for up to two weeks without driving. But I have driven it at least once every two weeks to keep battery charged.

Is there some kind of internal programming that changes the parameters depending on usage, or even outdoor temperaturs?
Battery saver mode, which the manual lists for several items.

Deep sleep is when things have gotten bad enough the modem is disabled, and you are informed in app that no remote functions will work.

You want to change the parameters to thwart the truck trying to leave enough battery for you to enter and start it?
Suggest not to do.
