My temperature reading (top right of the screen) seems to always be too high (I’ve only had the truck a few weeks)

is there a way to calibrate it? Or is it measuring something I don’t know? I had a Nissan rogue before this and found the sensor to generally be accurate

You don't indicate interior temp or outside temp.
Since you don't say what model
year you own. I'm going to assume you have a MY25.
I wish I could help.
I know the procedure for MY 22-24 with buttons.
But not 2025's
Sorry 😐

Your profile description doesn't say what year, or trim - which matters for assuming what temp you are asking about.
Inside or outside?

Outside Sensor under front bumper.

So any situation that puts the truck in the sun, or parked on ground that was/is in the sun - will be inaccurate until you start moving.
And even then - driving over hot ground - still inaccurate.

There is a Service process available in Forscan Lite for resetting the adjustment.

I hope it's smart enough to just make an adjustment based on a morning coolant temp and hybrid battery temp - it knows the time after all, and seen the temp drop, so it should know.

Inside sensor above mirror.
Put that in the sun, I bet it's wrong for a bit.

oh thank you! I will check my profile to set it up correctly but it’s 2025 XLT. On the big touchscreen at the top right, which of the sensors do you think that is reading from? Or is it both?

How do you know its off?

A few things, my gauge (probably yours too) will not change if the vehicle has not moved in some time. And with mine, once I start moving, it will not change if I’m driving slow. I don’t know what the parameters are for it to start taking readings.

It will show the last temperature when I start the vehicle until I reach higher speeds and then it shows current, accurate temps.

I feel my temp gauge is on par with other readings such as local weather temp, my wife’s vehicle, and the temp gauge at my house.

OP, I don’t know if you’re talking about outside ambient temp, or the HVAC thermostat setting.

If you are talking about the ambient temp, I’ve never had a vehicle that exactly matched what my phone weather app etc told me. The exterior sensor for that is picking up heat from the road, engine bay, and so on - but for the purposes of helping determine the air/fuel mixture for the engine, it only has to be “close enough.” I wouldn’t use that indicator as anything but a rough estimate. It’s mainly helpful to me when I need to know if it’s approaching freezing outside.

If you are talking about the accuracy of the cabin temp setting in the HVAC, my recommendation is to treat that as a rough estimate as well. Cabin temps vary wildly front to back, side to side, and direct sun plays a huge role in that. There is no way one or two sensors in the cabin can be accurate across the board. In my last few vehicles with “auto” HVAC, I’ve simply calibrated myself to whatever dashboard number feels comfortable. In other words, I don’t know if “74F” on the display is ACTUALLY 74 degrees, and it doesn’t matter. I just know keeping the setting within 2 degrees of that indication +/- is what I like.

All this is to say, “don’t worry about it.” Spend some time with the truck, have fun with it, and learn its quirks (and features)…

I have the same trim, purchased July, same issue, reads ridiculously high even when moving at high speed. The "auto" AC is also not very good in regards to "set and forget"....
