I’d LOVE to trade up into a Hybrid AWD 4K tow truck, but after 2 model year increases, I’m priced out of the Maverick market. It’s dang close to Ranger money at this point…

I placed an order this morning at my dealer and I'm number 2 so nothing like a couple of years ago, the order guy told me he had a total of 5 orders to put in the system. It is a totally different world now and we have had the Mav now for 3 almost 4 model years so all the initial demand has been satisfied and people with a year or so old car are hardly going to rush out and trade it in...unless of course you are like me.

Yes, Sync 4 offers Sirius/XM. It has more functionality than Sync 3. I use Sync 4 daily in my '23 Escape and really like it. It's interesting to see how we differ...I like the new font end and 19" rims. It looks more f-150ish.
Thanks for the clarification on the Sync 4. I'm still on the fence about that new grille though. 🙃

Why do people keep saying the Maverick is close to Ranger money? The XL Mav is $26295 and the Ranger XL is $32720, that's a fairly significant price difference and the Mav is a hybrid.

What configuration did you order?

I agree. The 2024 Ranger Lariat that I built on the B&P was $52K. If the 2025 Ranger offers a moonroof, I'm going to take a closer look. The cheapest midsize pickup that I priced was the 2024 Colorado at $49K. I could have spec'd them with less equipment, but that's not the type of truck I like.

Some of the initial excitement seems to have waned along with price increases.
The initial release of the Maverick coming out at $19,995 generated a lot of excitement and press of its own.
From what I've read the base price is now gone up considerably from 2022-2025.
Exactly. The original pricing on the Maverick put it on par with mid-range SUVs. With the price increase, I can buy an SUV with more bells and whistles AND a trailer to do truck things.
Also the pricing isn't that far off of mid-sized trucks or used full-size trucks.

Market saturation. Most of us who wanted one, got one. And for most of us, it's too early to upgrade. I'd say an entire model update in a few years will be bigger. Otherwise, Ford has ramped production to get to a point that Mavericks should start building up in stock.

One indicator I received in the mail this week was a Ford offer for $750 on the hood of any new order or stock 2024 Maverick before 29 Sep. That's in addition to a $500 military discount. So they're already throwing cash on the hoods of Mavericks.

Marketing is weird, so maybe demand is still high and they're just goosing it higher. Maybe not. They never closed the order books on 2024s early like some here predicted, so that's maybe another indicator. Only the sales managers at Ford know for sure.

$5,700 difference between my preferred ‘25MY Mav build vs the Ranger build I would choose. For a ‘24MY build, again the way I’d want it vs my preferred Ranger build that difference jumps to $10k. BIG reduction is segment separation. It was a similar difference back when I was mulling over my ‘23MY purchase.

From your point of view, $5700 may not make for close figures, but when you’re pricing into the $30k’s on a vehicle that just a couple years ago stickered at $24k, yea it starts bend the “value” proposition a bit, especially for the folks that may not value the Hybrid benefit as highly as others
