Ford Pass is nice but I suspect it being free is a temporary thing. Everything is moving toward monthly subscriptions and eventually Ford will say it will cost you $10 a month to use the features that are currently free.

That's possible, that they would start charging. Funny thing though. I bought a 2019 Hyundai Tucson new, 4 years ago. It had the app, free for the first three years, then something like $10 a month for the subscription. Right after I got rid of it and bought my first Mav, they dropped the monthly fee. I wasn't going to pay it and let it drop had I kept the Tucson. But since it went to free, I'd have kept it. If Ford starts charging, I'll drop it right away.Ford Pass is nice but I suspect it being free is a temporary thing. WowNope. I have, and use, Ford Pass, but no remote with the fob. That option was dropped with the lux pkg for 2023 and is an add-on.

Canada.Excuse my ignorance as order banks and dealing with car buying this way is new to me. So how did you just order on 4/13/23 when order banks are not opening till 7/17 hopefully?
Pretty cool! I had no idea!I use the FordPass on my Apple Watch all the time, don’t even need my phone
It does tell you, the little light on the fob will blink to confirm success or failure. See the owners manual. At least it does with the factory remote start, not sure about that add-on fob.I installed the perimeter plus for remote start and it's great.. only thing it's missing is (might be wrong) that the original key fob does not give you any feedback if you have started the vehicle successfully.. so you can't verify if you want to remote start the truck without line of sight.. for that, I think you have to purchase this specific confirmation key fob...
