No, travel long road trips so I use an adjustable octane performance tune from Gearhead. Anything from 87 to 93+ works but mileage and performance are best with 93 octane 10% ethanol common local mix. Odd combo a light RCSB 2wd 3.73 gear, leveled on large 285-70-17s. Best mileage is the home 93 blend at 27 highway mileage, 87 drops near 6 MPG and is close to the cost of the 93 I use at home. Fun thing with my setup is the responsiveness. The snail pump so fast that LAG is near undetectable, this required learning a new driving style to keep the back end in line! I drag raced a street stock 1968 Z28 in the 70's (low 13 second ETs), my F150 is quicker!
I had an E85 tuned '18 2.7 F150.... I've never seen a gas tune get 450hp on a stock 2.7, do you have a dyno chart?

380 HP and 476 torque on 93 octane. I was using the 10x conversion of exhaust air flow (44+ pounds WOT) for HP at the crankshaft. Crank HP vs rear wheel difference.

Gotcha. That is in line with typical 93 perf tunes. The 2.7 has a ton of margin....

Like I said earlier- The S/B intake checks lots of boxes while not brining John Force/338 mph 1/4 drag passes- Its a nice upgrade for those that are into that thing- You know making your truck your own -

This is always a fun topic- I myself really enjoy having this S/B intake on my FX4- Just a touch more intake growl and a little BOV whoosh addition but still quiet as can be. Its got a little more butt in seat oomph - The way that Ford limits the turbo PSI when accelerating from a stop gets in the way of the fun, an intake cant fix that along with the transmission that gets confused when you want the beans so it is what it is- For me I was just happy getting rid of that POS/OEM filter housing assembly- I went with the dry extendable unit -

The fit and finish of the S/B intake is top notch- BTW

The folks that get a fancy for the light trash talking of "OMG Becky why would you do this intake ? " Are probably the ones sword wresting over an $8 saving on an OEM type windshield wiper replacement @ Costco -

$379 & no dyno results = a kick in the wallet nuts
Dyno results for $379 haha. It costs thousands & thousands to get significant dyno results.

$379 gets you a better sounding EB - if you’re into that kind of thing. $379 for a sound system upgrade is a bargain to be frank. Some spend more:)

No large scale MFG unit pumps out dyno reports, too much potential litigation and nonsense. K/N comes to mind- Folks can arrange there own with a local tuner if need be.

100%
It is crazy to see people make statements like "The stock intake is good to 500 hp" but cant prove it in black and white. Its like "Ill dispute your opinion with louder opinion" because everyone knows the more loud you are, obviously the more correct you are.

Some mods do not do much when stand alone. There are mods, and then there are supporting mods. "Most" people do an exhaust for the sound alone and there isn't much flack about it. But, when it comes to an intake it is seemingly taboo for many. My intake increased the PSSSHHHHH, and WOOOSH, engine tone is now what i like and increased/smoothed out throttle response, and seems to have a very slight uptick in fuel mileage, though it's negligeable without long term tracking.
Air in/ Air out, I don't need a dyno sheet to confirm an intake works. Show me 1 modded Maverick dipping into the 11s without an intake on.

Just my .02

Nothing wrong with personalized bling for the vehicle! But calling the stock CAI a POS is overdoing it. They are NOT pretty but they work as well as any aftermarket CAI. Hell I have a COBB twin tube CAI on my F150, wanted to find out if independent intake runners would make a difference. Butt dyno said yes, timed runs 0-80 MPH said no (it slowed down). This started a week long series of experiments for a retired motor head to wrap his fat head around. Equipped with a Draggy and monitored exhaust air flow experiment ensued. From no filter at all thru a bunch of configurations I managed to get better 0-80 times with the COBB CAI modified to use the stock style panel filter. This was a fraction of a second fastest over averaged runs, not any real gain but consistent. It is a closed air-box as I did not want any under-hood air in the intake. I does look good though, once past the plumbers nightmare on top of the 2.7!

If I had an 11 second 1/4 mile anything there would be some bling/fancy intake on it!

I call them a More/Air intake- Any real reduction in temps would need to have A Nasa/Heat Shield type coating and some other Eskimo magic - That turbo gets hot as heck -
That’s the main reason the auto stop/start is so so stupid.
Suddenly depriving a very high speed turbo of oil pressure.
THAT is unbelievable dumbassery from FORD.

Auto start stop, I'm no fan but at least that was considered in the engineering. The turbo is attached to the head but quite low and oil draining will pass thru the turbocharger. Ecoboost also use an auxiliary coolant pump, on my 2,7 it is electric and keeps coolant flowing after engine shut down. A much better system that past turbo motors. Hell I owned a 1966 Corvair Turbo Monza in the 1970's and that had nothing but an oil line and sat well above the engine. No waste-gate or BOV either, had to be very careful warming that up and idling before shutdown. Is the EB perfected enough? I still let my 2.7 idle awhile!
