Hey,

Just wrapped up a stealthbox install last night and I can't figure out how others are triggering their amp from the subwoofer signal. I'm using the kicker key 500.1 amplifier and read on the forum that folks are using speaker level inputs from the subwoofer to the kicker key amp to source a signal. I don't think there is enough DC offset to trigger the kicker key amplifier. When I wire across the remote and 12+ lead the amp powers on so I know that there is power, but when the stereo is playing I don't get enough signal to trigger the high level inputs.

I think a lot of folks are buying the plugnplay kits harness with the LCI2 pro and using the front 2 speakers to drive a signal to an external subwoofer. Who has used the subwoofer channel and if you have were you just using the speaker level input of subwoofer amp driven by the 6X9 subwoofer channel?

Auto turn-on can be hit or miss. It's really not advisable in the first place because these trucks make a lot of "noise" through the speakers, even when off, that could trigger amps on when you don't want them.

Light reading on what is generally recommended:

Just sending an update to anybody that does a search. There is not enough DC offset to trigger the kicker key 500.1. Ultimately went with the plug/play kit with LCI2PRO to trigger the amp and provide line level conversion. Was the more expensive options but makes integrating into the system easy.
