They look great. You did a nice fit and finish on the install. One question. You don't find lighting up the hood annoying or distracting?
I rarely use the ditch lights because I’m in LA, the amber markers in the ditch lights aren’t even noticeable from inside the cab, there’s no reflection off the hood.

There are vehicles like the Kia…. K5, Kia telluride, and certain f150s that use amber running lights from the factory. I would never point anything forward that wasn’t white or amber, that would be a huge ticket.
A "running light" is different from a light projecting a beam.

Hard to believe anyone would mistake it for 1st Responder lighting...
After watching numerous people puttering in the middle of the lane, completely aloof to an emergency response vehicle, ambulance, fire engine, or police car right behind them with lights and sirens going, I don't find it hard to believe that some would also confuse these lights as representing such. I've worked in customer circus for years, little surprises me.

Not all emergency or first responder vehicles have sirens. In CT volunteer firemen get a permit for blue lights and volunteer emt's use green. No siren allowed. These lights come in all shapes and sizes. In order to avoid confusion there is a law prohibiting use of colored lights on a moving vehicle on a public street. You can have any color light on your veh. as long as you are not driving down a pub. road while on. This law is also in place because nut jobs have pulled women over and assaulted them. Also remember just because you're smart enough to know the difference doesn't mean there aren't lot of dopes out there who don't.

In most states (probably all, but I haven't researched it) red is illegal on the front of any vehicle. Blue lights are illegal on any part of a vehicle that isn't a police vehicle. I don't know of anywhere that amber is illegal as all manufacturers use amber lights on all vehicles.

Too true! I recall a kid in trade school had a relay her pulled out of a retired police car which allowed his headlamps to flash in an alternating pattern. He did so on a public road and received a nice ticket for impersonating a police vehicle.
