Has anyone installed ditch lights?

I was in getting gas today, and the guy at the next pump had these things bolted to the hood by the windshield. They were odd looking, looked like a squirrel cage fan. Well I asked him and he said the were ditch lights. He said it really helps seeing deer just waiting on the side of the road to commit suicide. Just looking for thoghts on these.

Thanks, I should have looked. But I have never heard or seen any of them before. Thought it was something new.

I have them on my Bronco, very handy out on dark trails.

had them on mine before I got rid of it... easy install with kit from F150leds.com. very bright. and I only got the Lower level lights they sell for the Mav.
