I ran across this durable mat at Costco recently for less than $20 in store (more $ online).

It's made of recycled rubber by Mohawk and is 36"W x 48"L x 1/2" thick. I got it to give my factory SIBL a bit of protection when hauling items that could scrape or gouge it. It has a pebble grain pattern on one side and a flat disc pattern on the other, very slip resistant and holds tight with the bed liner's textured finish. It's fairly heavy (probably why it costs more online for shipping) and doesn't fly out of the bed at highway speeds. This mat fits nicely between the wheel wells and covers most of the bed where most loads will bear. With a bit of utility knife trimming it will fully clear the front bed floor hooks.

Can you provide a model/part number?
Specific wording of the name of the mat?

Used one of my old mats from my house for this purpose as well. Bought it at Costco years ago and it works great. Will be using it even once I get my SIBL.

I have something similar which is also 1/2" thick heavy rubber and I also thought "that ain't going anywhere" but once on the highway we heard a knocking sound in the bed, my kid looked through the back window and saw it was the mat was flapping around in the wind. The wind blast from a passing semi might have been enough to launch it out of the bed, and who knows what would happen then 😕

Now I have a tonneau cover so I'm less worried

Hey Cougar 70,

The mat I bought from Costco is referred to as:

Mohawk Home - 36" x 48" All Purpose Rubber Mat
Costco Item No. 1834146
See attached screenshot from Costco.com website

This same mat appears to be available on Amazon and Wayfair at a higher price than Costco in-store.

I just wanted to say thank you for sharing this information. I went to Costco today and ended up purchasing this exact same mat. I’m very tempted to purchase a second one and to then cut both to fully fit into the bed touch all 4 sides but I’m worried that the integrity for the mat might degrade because of that.
