Ford attempted multiple times to repair the dash. They ordered a new complete dashboard for me. It was and is on national back order with no ETA. After waiting for your months I opted to lemon law it and start again. Hence the ‘26 with a front end I didn’t like.

I didn't like it either when I bought mine and thought I might paint the low part of the lights body color, but it grows on you the longer you have it. Give it time. I love the semi-autonomous driving feature that adjust to the speed limits! A lot of towns in my area are cashing in with speed cameras Times have changed.

Despite what they may have claimed I doubt the dealers did much (if anything at all) to solve the problem. They are in business to make money and I was told by one dealer outright it's just not worth their time tracking down squeaks and rattles. My advice to those with annoying sounds is to

I had a very similar rattle in my Honda Civic. Honda actually did a recall. The issue was corrected on the first try. YMMV.

I have a 23 with dash rattle. Chewing on it slowly. Pretty much tackled the rattle. Now hearing a knock sound. I opened, drive w glove box open. Seems Knick curtailed?

I kinda thinking of 26+ model, but for different reason …like the new fuel injection setup. Intake valves get washed.

However, owning this Mav for 2 yrs, have only 8,2xx miles. And the Lowe’s n Home Depot short drive. It would be a while to get up to 20k for any walnut wash job of those valves. Prob hold on to it while longer.

Even with the glove box open I still hear the clicking noise.

Mine were rattling, clicking and even squeaking at times so sure, why not. Try popping it up partway (you can't get the grill all the way off without removing the A-pillar cover since there's a tab that hooks to it) to see if it changes. If it does then there's your answer.

Thanks it's supposed to be warmer today and no rain this afternoon and I also need to clean My floor liners in the Maverick. So maybe I'll try messing with the speaker grilles to see if it makes a difference.

That's what they said about the 78-79 F series grilles, and the updated 92-97 F series front ends (OBS). Now both more desirable than the previous years.

I had a chili pepper red 24 Maverick, which I loved. But the infamous dash rattle had me turn it back over to Ford after 30,000 miles.

I just received my 26 XLT in space white and really didn’t like the new front end.

I had the ski slopes by the headlights wrapped in satin black and I think, while not perfect, it’s better in appearance.

Luckily your “surgery” is reversible.

Have you grown to appreciate the stunning good looks of the refresh yet and peeled off the wraps?
