I would buy the xl now .When the xlt is complete and ready for delivery I would decide. These trucks are in too much demand you can t loose any money .You have an opportunity to use the xl and when the xlt comes in you can sell it on this site or keep it and sell the xl .You will recoupe your money use the 0% finance Wish I had your problem lol.Resale value is greater than MSRP.

I would wait for the one you want. Forget buying the XL to flip, despite the forum optimism, you may lose substantial money doing that.

Yes, WAIT for the XLT. Too much hassle involved in trying to sell the XL privately and having to deal with test drives, tire kickers, collecting payment, paperwork, etc. More than likely you will not come out ahead financially. While the Maverick hybrid is going to be in high demand, selling a "stripped" XL is going to have a much more limited % of buyers vs. an XL with more options or an XLT.

Yeah I basically posted the same question a minute ago. I was hoping the dealer I have my order with would buy back a Eco-boost XLT when my Hybrid XLT w lux arrives. Wasting $ right now on a rental car.

Ok guys I need some opinions here. I ordered an XLT AWD ecoboost Iconic Silver with 4K Tow Package and Co Pilot 360 on 9/27. It was looking like I wasnt going to be scheduled for a long time so i have been calling around trying to find stock or cancelled orders. I called over 150 dealers lol well i finally found one yesterday its a base model though set to arrive jan17th. It is an XL with the 4K tow package and nothing else. (I definitely need the 4k tow) So no Co-pilot 360 in this one also no power mirrors or cruise control. Dealer is selling it at sticker $25,540 and no mark up which is rare. It was looking like mine was going to take forever my dealer has had 0 customer orders delivered and only 2 scheduled going into this thursday and theres about 15 orders ahead of mine so it was looking like I wasnt going to see mine until late spring or even early summer if they went in order (which i know they dont always do). So I told the dealer with the XL to send me over the invoice and window sticker. Well I go to check my email and right next to the dealers email with the XL is the email from ford saying my build is scheduled for week of 2/21 and best case scenario I can see mine around end of march/beginning of april. What is your guys opinion on Base model with no co pilot 360 and without power mirrors or cruise control vs the XLT with co pilot 360 with power mirrors and cruise control?. Is the Co-Pilot a really big help? Does anyone know how the manual mirrors work on the XL? Can i adjust the passenger mirror from the driver seat with the manual mirrors? the XL is also around $3500 cheaper than my XLT build. What would you guys do wait it out or go with the XL that I can have in about a month? Another concern of mine is I have seen a million of you guys have your dates pushed back or have the vehicle get stuck in shipping. If mine gets pushed back into a may/june delivery I will be mad I didnt take this one now lol not sure what to do here what do you guys think??

It does have a back up camera. It says it right on the window sticker.
I stand corrected! I initially ordered co-pilot on my 360 bc I thought it included a backup camera & Cruise control. But didnt take long to realize the latter wasnt included.

Back up cam required on All new cars/light trucks.

I think you will be happier with your order, just a feeling.

No cruise control or power mirrors are deal breakers for me. I am not a fan of after market cruiser control set-ups.

If you can live without these 2 things, it's a fair deal these days.

I looked into that. You cant add co pilot 360 after its built. I think im going to wait for my order to come in. If it was going to be here in the summer i might go with the XL but now that my build is scheduled it should only be about a 2 month difference so im just going to wait it out I think.

Flipping new vehicles in this market is a breeze. I bought a Bronco Sport and sold it for a profit while waiting for my ordered Maverick.

I was thinking that but with the sales tax and registration fees and all that, not to mention my credit score going down from having 2 new car loans within 3-4 months, Im not sure if its all worth it. I know that the credit score will bounce back in a few months once one comes off but im just not sure if its all worth it. Even if I get 5k over sticker for one of them id barely be just about breaking even with all the fees associated. Maybe a few bucks in the profit if i get 5k over but just not thinking its worth it.
Also used vehicle prices are set to drop next year overall, according to a report from KPMG. While I do believe the Maverick will sell well, secondary markets react in advance of new vehicle production meeting demand. It’s more of a leading, not a lagging indicator if that makes sense. I wouldn’t want to risk getting stuck. KPMG predicts more of a sudden drop, while Cox predicts a slow unwind. Goldman disagrees and predicts prices peaking Q1-Q2 next year but makes some big assumptions about chip shortages, which may or may not happen.

I would call another 150 dealers.

By the time you finish doing that, the truck you ordered will be built.

Problem solved... :sneaky:
