After 1 year of ownership of my 2023 Maverick Lariat, I can no longer play music from my phone, whether it's wired CarPlay, or if I connect wirelessly with Bluetooth.
I still have access to FM/AM but terrestrial radio is unbearable.
I was using USB C to USB C originally but swapping out to USB A didn't work either. Both ports still charge my phone.
I've done the stereo reset as well as a Master Reset, putting everything back to default settings, that didn't work.
I've restarted my phone as well
My iPhone is on the latest iOS 18.1.1.
I've read many threads about people losing audio in their trucks but I haven't seen this particular issue.
Basically when I try to play audio, I get a pulsating white noise that stays consistent.
I can still see CarPlay on my screen, but I can't use turn by turn navigation, nor can I use Siri, or answer phone calls.
My current fix is that I'm using a FM transmitter to use my phone through my stereo, but i would like to continue using the features I overpaid for on my truck.

Have you tried another device? Tried your phone in a different vehicle?

I've tried my daughter's iPhone SE and an iPad Pro, both gave me the pulsating white noise

Have you taken it to the dealer?
I want this to be a last resort as I do not like dealing with them with issues I had with past vehicles. But I will if I can't fix this myself.

Also they keep pestering me with two recalls I haven't let them do, even though I did let them do the first recall. This forum is the reason why I haven't let them do the other recalls as I read nightmare after nightmare of problems post recall fix.

Could be a bad usb port, without dealer diagnosis hard to say. Personally I would make a appointment for the issue, and recalls to be done.

Could be a bad usb port, without dealer diagnosis hard to say. Personally I would make a appointment for the issue, and recalls to be done.

I don't think that's the issue because I still have the same problem when I connect wirelessly through Bluetooth, skipping any USB ports

If it's under warranty why not make an appointment if it's covered.

Have you tried factory resetting your phone?

Yeah, this is beyond my scope of repair. Gonna have to swallow some pride and schedule an appointment with the dealer. It's a mutual dislike, I don't care for them as much as they don't care for me, haha.
