A month ago my truck was sitting 200 miles away waiting to make the last leg of it's journey down here to me in Jackson, Ms. As of today, it's 1,400 miles away back at the border in Nogales where it first crossed into the states six weeks ago. It must be nice to have such a monopoly on shipping that you can be so incompetent at your job and know Ford can't contract anyone else.

Yeah, I had the same concern when my truck showed up on the tracker several hundred miles SOUTH of Hermosillo. Perhaps a full moon or the tides somehow mess with the tracker. Luckily, my truck was back where it should have been on the tracker several days later. Hang in there.

Your maverick was most likely unloaded and the car is being returned to get another load. Check the details.

This 100%. Unless you happen to catch the rail car when its unloading. The tracking will just keep saying where the car is regardless of what its actually carrying. This happened to me to. Confirmed with ford chat it was unloaded.

There will be line item stating that car was spotted on the destined ramp. The location ramp code is probably different from the Ford code for that ramp. after a while day or longer sometimes much longer if rail car sustained damage and damage has to be assessed, etc. After the railcar is unloaded it will be released by the owners agent it will be moved and parked awaiting for someone who wants to load it and it will be moved to the load point. The railroad knows each and every railcars location and who is paying for them to move it or park it every day they have it. When railroad A delivers it to railroad B it will disappear from railroad A tracker and will then be tracked ,on railroad B's tracker. It is also possible that the railroad you were following delivered it to a different railroad that had the car for a few days and then it appeared back on your tracker and you are now following the railcar on the way to it's next gig. And you missed following the car during that time. In any event Ford should know where it is.

That's my point. Ford is the one telling me that the truck is back in Nogales. I have been contacting them for the location updates and I would think they would have access to the carrier's shipping updates so they could tell if it had been offloaded or moved to another carrier to continue its journey.

If it was returned Ford is paying for it to look at that load for some reason. Something super severe that Ford might either fix it or replace with another one. (???)
