Utility, gas mileage & price are the driving factors in my wanting a Maverick. Other trucks or crossovers just don't fit these criteria.
On the downside, I don't know whether I can get the Maverick in a timely manner or with the options I want.
In the meanwhile, I'm still driving my 2004 Acura TL, lol.

So Luis with Mac Haik Ford Houston called. They had my email saying I was trying to test drive a Lariat ahead of ordering. They have a white EB AWD Lariat on the lot (no tow, no bed liner, no Lux). I was able to take it for a very brief spin (rush hour and it was low on gas so was very short). If you are wanting one now check it out, and asking for him since he called me wouldn't be a horrible move (no idea what they want for it full disclosure).

It gave me the look at the Lariat I needed. I actually really liked the feel of the seats. (both cushion and material) it had been sitting out in the Houston sun but they didn't feel hot like my current leather (in sure they can get hot but it was interesting). Solidified I want to put an order in, I think my family will be fine with it and I really liked how it drove and felt.

They confirmed they will do for MSRP and no required dealer upgrades. They will let me order by build sheet and sign via mail or in person. Luis seemed like a good guy I appreciated his candor (he stated they add dealer items to make more profit and he will try to sell them but they are not mandatory for example) and him understanding my concerns as I asked questions.
