I introduced my Maverick to my other toy

Today I had my 8 day old Maverick spend a little bonding time with my homebuilt (experimental) 'Baby Ace' airplane. It was built in 1993 and I bought it one year ago.

I love both of these excellent machines : )

Went flying today too (the phone takes pix that make the wood prop look crazy weird)

Looks a little like a Piper Cub with an open cockpit. May be a little smaller. Very neat!

Your assessment is very accurate : )

Firewall forward it's pretty much identical to a Piper Cub, but the fuselage is just a single place open cockpit, and the wings are quite a bit smaller than a Cub. The design dates back to the 1930's, and this model of the design became very popular in the 1950's. Quite a few have been built over the years.
