Well, that's a thought I hadn't had. Maybe I'll have to think about that. Does anyone know what the side decals are??
Yeah, I had that thought when I've seen the paint/decal on the hoods of Grand Cherokee Trail Hawks and Outback Wilderness models.

They should be pretty easy to remove with patience and a heat gun. Sooner is better than later because paint will slowly fade with sun exposure and under the sticker will be protected from that.

We live in a world now where this next generation of car buyers needs stickers and decsls to express their "uniqueness" because teachers hold them they were "special."
Ah, yes... That damned "younger generation." What will they think of next?

I like the look of the decals both on the hood and the doors. I am concerned about how they will last, though. Especially the hood scoop with the little writing. Does this stuff start peeling over time or fade really bad?

I would think the dealer could remove it for you or you might even get them to not install it at the factory and simply store the decal inside the car for you. Dunno. Ask your dealer.

Interesting take there. It's so easy to blame everything on 'kids these days,' even though they're the ones creating and designing all kinds of things my generation never imagined. And I'm pretty sure the buyers of the First Edition Mavericks will turn out to be mostly people over 50.

I like the hood decals in the Ford accessory list. They go on either side of the hood bulge. Instead of on the bulge.

i have a flat blzck hood decal on my Renegade. It’s also vinyl. with trim restorer its held up well for seven years. It does lower some hood glare. I was not a fan, and like you want the Rapid Red and like you, dont like the bling on the hood. I’ve held off on ordering since the Rapid Red was delayed and want to give the production line a chance to get the bugs out of the Process. I have been disappointed in the Bronco Sport roll out quality, so I’m going to wait and see if the Maverick has a smoother launch.

Seriously? Vinyl? Saving pennies on the logo material seems like a terrible branding play.
When are decals not vinyl on a ford vehicle unless you're spending 3-10k on racing stripes for a Mustang?
no surprise here whatsoever. If vinyl. Take hair dryer and slowly apply heat and peak away. Then use non abrasive cleaning solution to remove excess residue.
I work with vinyl for my day job. Very easy and simple to work with.

Nothing new. Stickers and decals have been around since at least the 60s.
And they were "special" back then too!

Just humor folks. I'm pretty much a no decal kind of person, but do think they look good in some cases. Like black on a Cyber Orange Maverick. :)

love the decals personally, but I can't see why you couldn't get them off if you choose too. call a shop maybe?
