Hello,

I have an XL 2025 Mav and I purchased both sides of the fender insulators. It did cut down on the noise in my cab if that helps. Noticeable more in the winter running all terrain tires but I can tell a difference. Wifey has a 2023 XL and her brother has a 2024 XLT. We did all of them and everyone can tell a difference. On the XLT not as much but still a slightly noticeable difference. Worth the $ and yeah...why aren't these stock!
Thanks. I appreciate your recommendation and probably will be adding them.

I'm not complaining about the price, but these things having to be added to the truck are basic build items to protect from corrosion and rust should not have to be added after purchase. So am I complaining about that? You bet I am. LOL
The Maverick has a corrosion warranty. It won’t rust until at least a decade in.

Is chassis rust a big problem in Arizona?
It does rain and snow in northern and higher elevations and they do treat the roadways. So for a very large portion of the state, yes.

Do Lariats have these fender insulators? I don't hear tire noise very much in mine, and I'm not sure what I'm looking for to see if it has them.

Here in central Florida we get rain all the time, and no one is concerned about chassis rust.

And they don’t salt roads. Only Margaritas.

Yes, they are on the Lariat. It's the foam insert behind where the side marker is on each side. If you open the front drivers door you can see a black foam piece kinda right behind the side marker. It's tougher to get the passenger side in because of the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

Back in the day our Manly cowboy Cadillac’s,
Didn’t need no stinkin liners or protectors.
We pressure washed our trucks and rattle canned the places that needed it.

Men were Men and trucks had dents. Each dent was a memory.
And NO ONE had peanut allergies.

Remember trunk paint?
When I worked at the Napa distribution warehouse we’d tell the new guy his most important job was to once a week go shake all the speckle paint so the white spots wouldn’t settle on the bottom.
Warehouse Forman would chew our asses out while trying not to laugh when he caught the new guy falling for it.

Many years ago I worked with a man who would say "it's good enough for who it's for."
I was about to say the same thing. I mean, the XL has non-styled steel wheels and manual mirrors. Not a whole lot of vehicles offer those features (or lack thereof?).

At least the "finishing" parts are available aftermarket. And for those that could care less and just need a pragmatic transportation appliance that they'll get rid of before the maintenance costs get too high, well, they save weight and money by not paying for parts that might get broken off and not replaced anyway.

I’d never buy a vehicle from a new start up.
Anybody remember the, ‘Yugo’ ?

The Yugo was a subcompact car manufactured in the former Yugoslavia, primarily by Zastava Motors. It was known for being one of the cheapest cars available in the US market in the late 1980s, but also gained notoriety for its poor build quality and reliability issues. Despite its reputation, a new version of the Yugo is reportedly being developed by a German professor and is slated for a drivable prototype in 2027.

I think 2022 Maverick Hybrid owners know what you're talking about

If they "finished" all the things mentioned here and elsewhere, the Mavericks would've been $10,000 more across the board, and all 15 people who bought the tiny trucks at that those prices would still find something to complain about.

This is a good example of the 2023 Silverado I traded in. First thing I did was order wheel well liners from Husky for $85 versus Chevy's for $750 dealer add on. So I guess Chevrolet left ALL those Silverados unfinished. Not much could get in that open area right? BTW the right side has the cover, this is from a retail site. Also notice that open crap collection area in front of the mud flap.

That's a very telling photo. Thank you for sharing it.
