Trust what you know is right. From your post I gathered you knew deep down there isn't a 4k tow for the hybrid. But, yeah, your fellow MTC members will verify that for you.

Aftermarket options for upgrade exist, if that's important to you.
You can add 7-pin, trailer brake control, and upgraded suspension.
OTR testing shows a bigger cooler is not needed on hybrid, it's burning less fuel then EB for one, and the battery is doing the engine load leveling for another.
It's controversial but you can add a weight distribution hitch, if you wanted to. I normally wouldn't bother. But FWD has me considering there may be a benefit to a SMALL amount of (lower rated) WDH. This puts more weight on the front wheels
You won't be able to pull 4000lbs uphill in the left lane like maybe an EB will, but, the eCVT is probably BETTER suited for towing in general than an automatic. But the lower horsepower will lower your top speed. Not much else.
Zero to 55 MPH I don't think you'll notice a difference in the two trucks.
Using OBDII data, towing a 3000lb single axle full feature camper required 58 horsepower at 60 MPH on flat freeway.
Neither truck will break a sweat towing 4k at 60 MPH on flat-ish roads.

2025 hybrid can be equipped with 4k towning, just not the 22-24My rule of thumb, never ever trust any detailed info on a dealer page. It's almost always generic copy paste crap. That or it's some sales person blindly checking off incorrect options. Look at the window sticker if it's listed for the correct info. No hybrid can be equipped with 4K towing.
