Hybrid Remote Start Stopped Working

I’ve remote started my hybrid in the past, today though trying multiple times, it no longer works. I press “lock” on the fob 2x then start 2x and only get a red flash on the fob. I confirmed all doors were locked, battery voltage is good at 12.5V at the pins with the truck off. No “accessories disabled due to low voltage” errors on the Ford app..

Check in your vehicle settings in the dash - you can enable and disable it there...If you find a box next to remote start, and it isn't checked, you accidentally shut it off...

You only press lock once and then start twice on mine and it works every time. Maybe that is the difference?

Are the doors actually locking when you press the lock button, and you should be getting a horn honk double pressing (you only need to press lock once for remote start, BTW). Have you tried remote starting next to the vehicle or via the app?

See original post, yes doors are locked, double horn. Everything is as it should be except no remote start and red LED on fob.

In the past, remote start could only happen once. Its was reset by driving truck.
I think they emulated past systems where remote start was a separate device and limited.
Obviously not a single hardware device limit anymore. We can schedule starting once a day and it does day after day.
Just offered an opinion, may not be broken or wrong.

Remote start is still enabled on the center screen. The truck will remote start via the app, however I get the red light on the fob when trying to start with the fob although it have absolutely worked in the past. The Horn and door locks all work with the fob. I’ll try the other fob when I return...

Oddball suggestion here, but have you tried disabling the check box, completely shutting down and locking the truck, then going back in and enabling, shut down and lock, and then retry remote start? "Have you tried turning it off and on again", if you will.
